I was born a fourth generation Floridian in the small town of Eustis. In life I've always been a Daddy's girl, I strive to be as nurturing as my Momma and my brother is my best friend. We moved to Newnan when I was 10 years old, and I fell under the charm of sweet and southern Georgia.
During my senior year of high school I toured Auburn University and made the decision to enroll. I grew up in a family of Gator fans, so orange and blue have always been beloved, but being an out-of-state student, I wasn't quite sure I had made the right decision.
At one point during my Camp War Eagle session, Auburn's freshmen orientation, the counselors stood arm-in-arm and recited the Auburn Creed. As I listened to the values my institution cherished, there was no longer any doubt.
I knew that Auburn was my new home.
My time at Auburn taught me the value of a determined work ethic, the importance of diversity, the appreciation of a dedicated support system and the significance of self-reflection. I graduated May 10, 2015 with a degree in public relations and a minor in leadership studies, and I currently live in Birmingham, Alabama. I want to use my passion for intentional relationships and communication talents to serve others in the field of public relations.
My interests include painting, spending time outdoors, any excuse to watch a movie and if you throw the word "adventure" in your proposition, you're more likely to gain my involvement. I'm a lover of a warm cup of coffee, fuzzy blankets, my cat in my lap and my dog at my feet, a visit to the lake and game night with family. If you share my obsession for Lord of the Rings or A Song of Ice and Fire series then we are sure to get along, and if you admit to crying during Harry Potter, then I hope to call you friend.
I strive to be an optimist and to find beauty in the little things. I believe that community is essential and above all else, love and hope bring the promise of better days ahead.
My personal motto is, "Move for things that matter."
